In 1996 I was working as a Product Specialist for Roland when the SC-88Pro SoundCanvas synthesizer sound module was released. To help demonstrate the potential, I remixed an album of Standard MIDI File (SMF) songs I had written a year or two earlier under my artist name 2061, and this music was then used in various demos for months.

In December of 1996 I performed one of these songs (KBF) to a packed house at The Penguin in Ottawa, and this landed me a slot in the famous Roland Knott's Berry Farm NAMM Pre-show event the following January.

As you listen to this album, keep in mind that everything is being played back by a single Roland SC-88Pro, who's outputs were recorded in stereo to a DAT. No outboard gear was used. All the sounds were programmed by me using Roland "GS Format" parameters, and the songs were sequenced on an MC-500mkII Micro Composer (MIDI Sequencer).
